Is ZIL Token Migration Automatic?

No, the migration of ZIL tokens to Zilliqa 2.0 is not automatic. Each user must manually migrate their tokens, especially if they were staked via the legacy SSN-based system.

What You Need to Know:​

  • Manual Action Required: Users must initiate migration themselves. Legacy staked tokens must be unstaked and withdrawn before being re-staked on Zilliqa 2.0.

  • New Proof-of-Stake System: Zilliqa 2.0 introduces a new staking mechanism. You will need to use the new staking portal to delegate your ZIL tokens on the upgraded network.
