View Secrets in the Legacy Moonlet Mobile App

Important! This guide applies only to users who are not using a Ledger hardware wallet. If you are a Ledger user, your private key is securely stored on your device and you do not need to follow this guide.

⚠️ Use With Caution​

Accessing your secret phrase (also known as a mnemonic or seed phrase) directly from the legacy Moonlet Mobile App involves potential security risks. You should only proceed if:

  • You are migrating ZIL from the legacy Zilliqa network to Zilliqa 2.0

  • You do not use a Ledger

  • You have no other way to retrieve your secret phrase

Never share your secret phrase with anyone. Moonlet will never ask for it. Only trust official announcements and resources from zilliqa.com or moonlet.io.

🔐 How to Access Your Secret Phrase​

  1. Open the Legacy Moonlet Mobile App on your mobile device.

  2. Tap the wallet icon in the header to access your wallets list.

  3. Swipe right on your Zilliqa wallet to reveal additional options.

  4. Tap “Unveil Phrase”

  5. Authenticate using your device’s biometric or passcode (this decrypts the secrets from your phone’s secure enclave).

  6. Copy and store your phrase in a safe offline location (preferably using a password manager or hardware-based storage).

🛡 Security Reminders​

  • Do not store your secret phrase in plain text on your phone, cloud storage, or email.

  • Do not enter your secret on any unknown or untrusted websites.

  • Always verify you are using official migration tools (like stake.moonlet.io).
